Greatest voice in the Universe!
The show started at a reasonable time, at 6:30 on a Tuesday night, which was great. The opening act came on, and I was happy about this until I realized there was another opening act after that. What made it even more unbearable was that 2 out of the 4 worst bands I have ever heard at a show were the opening acts. The second act was worse because they looked and sounded like 16-year-old boys practicing for a Battle of the Bands at their high school (ps-they wouldn't have even won that). Finaaally, Carnifex comes on at 9:15, which seriously sickened me after waiting so long for the main act. This was 45 minutes after the 2nd opening band finished up, and I couldn't understand why. Anyway, getting to her performance-she is INCREDIBLE! I was mesmerized by her voice; it was strong and powerful and it just easily came out of her body. She did the whole whimsical, otherworldy fairy thing which was entertaining to watch. The lighting was really great too because it was in line with the beats of the music. Basically watching her was powerful stuff, like witnessing some sort of amazing religious experience (kind of a weird comparison I know).
